The French and Indians were ruthless fighters they fought to keep the great lakes under their control. Their fighting tactic was very much better for the terrain they fought in. They took after the Indians and fought behind trees bushes and rocks and crushed them that way. The British didn't they were the ones who got crushed. The French also gathered a large force of Indians to fight for them they set up numerous ambushes and were some of the main fighters during the war. Guiding for both sides and fighting for both sides the French definitely had better and more Indians though.
