Leonard Skinner, the school basketball coach who inspired the name of Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd after telling its members their hair was too long, has died aged 77. Mr Skinner died at the St. Catherine Laboure Manor in Jacksonville, Florida, where he had been living for about a year. Another interesting story Mr. Skinner is that Phil Robertson used his music in some discs he produced for duck commander and so he called duck commander but Phil was asleep. It was a well-known fact that you don't bother Phil when he's sleeping so they didn't wake him up but Phil was a big fan of his and got real mad and said wake me up if the president or Lynyrd Skynyrd calls!
