Ja Morant

 Ja Morant is an NBA basketball player some people would call him a star some wouldn't the thing with Ja Morant is that he was a 0-star recruit he was completely on accident found it and given a scholarship he performed though in college and had great stats he eventually made it to the NBA  the Memphis grizzlies he led them to the playoffs though lost to the Jazz in the second game even though he exploded with 47 points he still plays and has the dreams to lead the grizzlies to a championship and get his first trophy

Labels

Labels are something everybody has. Some people have more good labels and some people have more bad labels. But what am I talking about? well labels are something we give people like Joe is a big lazy slob is a label we describe joe by. We think he's lazy and a slob. Those are some examples like the kid that doesn't talk much and no one likes. Isn't going to have good labels is he. But the popular people aren't going to have a bad label but when you think about everyone has good and bad labels. (in some cases the popular person is going to have more bad labels)

Essay #1

When we think about missions it is important to know about people and places and how we view others. We may have a culture shock if we aren’t properly aware of other countries' cultures. We might look down on other cultures because we think our culture is superior. It is also necessary to have a geographic mental map if you are going to do missions in a new place.

One reason that it's good to have a good grasp of cultures is culture shock. Many people suffer from this if they go to different cultures such as China. One example in China is if you don't like what you are eating you can spit it on the table. You go there and all of a sudden people are spitting food out on the table and if you are there on a missionary trip, instead of being a good preacher all you're going to be able to do is think about those weird Chinese people and why they do that and about how disgusting that is.

So one point about having a good grasp of cultures is culture shock. Another is that if we don’t know about the other culture we might look down on that culture. Throughout history, slavery is a good example of looking down on other people. We have looked down on people's culture. Every country thinks theirs is the best, but in reality no country is perfect and no country is totally bad. Each country has good aspects and bad aspects. A bad one about America is we had slaves. One about Russia might be communism.

So the second point was looking down on cultures and thinking that they're disgusting and that they're bad. But another point is having a good mental map. Say you're headed to go preach at another church. Your Chinese friend tells you directions and you never had to learn to use a mental map. You get your directions and you start walking. After a few wrong turns you realize that you're nowhere you're supposed to be and that you're actually in one of the worst suburbs of Beijing and then you get mugged and you have to go home having no effect, but making Chinese people think you're not a very good missionary just because you didn't have a good mental map.

So in conclusion the question was do mental maps have an affect on foreign missions?  Culture shock, thinking you are superior, and needing a good mental map are three reasons we need a good mental map. Now that we’ve talked about all these points we can see that not being prepared for going to a foreign land is not a good idea. Not being well prepared for anything is a bad idea.

Good Friday

 Good Friday is a day that many people celebrate but what happened on Good Friday. Good Friday is celebrated because that's the day that Jesus died on the cross now why would we celebrate a death? Because when christ died on the cross he in basic liberated everyone of their sins making it so we don't have to follow a lot of rules people nowadays would think are funny and silly and Jesus made it so that as long as we have faith in Jesus christ.

World Building

 Worldbuilding is not an easy something to do world-building means everything such as cultures and important landmarks and maybe even languages or Magic and cultures can be very diverse such as the china their culture is very diverse and then you have to have every country different and mapmaking everything is very difficult so much to do then you have characters and then you need to actually write the book so not as something a couple of minutes.

Ice that's dirty is called what?

  Ice is something that every buddy have to go through its a very slick substance basically snow that has become very hard and very slick! Though black ice is even more dangerous and slick its a very thin layer of ice usually found on roads and parking lots. Usually its become so dirty that you can't see it and avoid it. Many drivers lose control and crash and they have no idea why they did it. Though since its thin when the weather warms up a little it usually melts away at a fast pace than usual.
